DEAR DEIDRE: A CLOSE friend has been sending sexually inappropriate messages to my wife and he won’t stop.
I have known him for five years. We work together and are both 29. He always said my wife was hot but I thought it was just banter.
My wife is creeped out by his messages and has told him to stop[/caption]
She is 27 and gorgeous but she hates the messages he sends. She asked him to stop but he won’t.
A text last weekend was the last straw.
We were at a family get-together for my dad’s 50th birthday when her got the message.
She was shocked.
She showed me and he had gone too far. I want to thump him but I know that won’t help.
I don’t want to involve the police – but how else can we make him stop?
DEIDRE SAYS: Tell him the repeated, unwanted attention he is giving your wife may constitute stalking, which is against the law.
Say that if he continues, you will have to report him to the police. My e-leaflet on Standing Up For Yourself will help.
