Body pulled from the River Cam after it was spotted in water by member of the public

A LIFELESS body was pulled from the River Cam after it was spotted by a passing local.

Cops were called to the central Cambridge river which lies close to Magdalene Bridge at around 1.15pm earlier today.

According to reports, the body was found near the Arundel Hotel on Chesterton Road.

A spokesman for Cambridge Police said: “A body has been found in the river.

“We’re in the early stages of the investigation into finding out who is is and what’s happened.”
