READING saw two of their defenders injured in a sickening clash of the heads at their home game fixture against Middlesbrough.
Tiago Ilori and Liam Moore banged heads as they both jumped in the air in an attempt at clearance and were both tended to by Reading’s medical team as their shirts and faces were blood-stained.

The Portuguese centre-back winced as the gash to his head was treated after the two collided dangerously in an attempt to clear the ball.
Ilori managed to get to his feet following the clash, but Moore remained on the floor and a stretcher was called.
He eventually got to his feet disappeared down the tunnel for further treatment.
Blood was gushing from Ilori’s face as he got to his feet, but he appeared unsteady and left the field to a standing ovation, as he was replaced by Tyler Blackett.
The Royals were down to ten men for well over ten minutes.
Moore received a standing ovation too, but his was as he soldiered on and returned to the pitch, with a bandage around his head, following lengthy treatment.
