Racing tips: Verbal Dexterity to go all the way for Jim Bolger in the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster

IT’S the last big domestic Saturday of the Flat season and the Racing Post Trophy at Doncaster (3.25) can go the way of VERBAL DEXTERITY for trainer Jim Bolger.

Everyone else is expecting a record breaking day for Aidan O’Brien but tee-totaller Bolger can spoil the party.

The only other race from Donny which we’ll see on ITV is the 1.45 where we will side with NEVER BACK DOWN (5/1) for trainer Hugo Palmer.

Palmer is an ace Flat trainer whose family are up and back down the stairs endlessly at home at ‘Manderston’ in Scotland.

Check it out online: they’ve got a solid silver staircase and a few zillion quid in the bank.

We’ll stick a fiver each way on the Palmer youngster this afternoon and start the pot to build our own silver staircase.

The ITV cameras are at Newbury too this afternoon and the best solution in the 2.15 is to back BEST SOLUTION (11/2) who has been going well overseas without quite winning.

Back here at home he looks overpriced.

There’s nothing mythical about the magical chances of MYTHICAL MAGIC (3/1) in the Horris Hill (Newbury 2.50).

He’s been competing in much better races than his rivals and can confirm supremacy today.

The ITV cameras are making their first visit of the season to jumping HQ too today with the first four races being shown.

DOING FINE (7/1) will do just fine for us in the 2.00 before we back BEDROCK (evs) at 2.35 for our old pals the Skelton brothers.

It could be another family affair in the 3.10 with FOXTAIL HILL (7/1) going for the Twiston Davies team. He can win from the front.

Finally the 3.45 can go to WHATAKNIGHT (10/1) for Harry Fry who caught the eye at Newton Abbott.

Hes a cracking each way price to wrap up a jam packed day.

Good luck!
