BRAVE Stephen Cullen tackled a teen who tried to nick his Range Rover — while stark naked.
Stephen, 29, leapt out of bed to chase and catch the crook in Newcastle.
The Nude who chased and caught a would-be thief boasted yesterday: “I’m the Naked Ninja.”
He said: “That car is my pride and joy, there is no way that anyone was stealing it.”
He and girlfriend Nicola Baldwin, 33, were in bed watching TV when his Range Rover’s alarm went off late at night.
Stephen sprang into action superhero-style in pursuit of the crook, but didn’t even bother caping himself in a dressing gown.
Nicola also dashed from the house in just her knickers then wrapped herself in her dressing gown. She said: “I looked out and saw someone in the driver’s seat. He looked like he was trying to hot-wire the car.
"Stephen was all for jumping out of the window to begin with. He then raced downstairs.”
CCTV footage shows the culprit — a drunken lad aged about 17 — get in through the driver’s door.
Stephen then races down the garden path — bare bum on view.
He briefly struggles to open the gate before sprinting towards the car. The teen leaps out of the passenger door and tries to run away before Stephen catches him.
The lad said, “I’m sorry, I’m sorry” as he was wrestled to the ground in Longbenton, Newcastle.
Roofer Stephen said: “The guy realised I was naked. He didn’t know where to put his hands.”
Nicola said: “Next door came out and saw him in all his glory.”
Stephen let the thief go when he saw how young he was. Cops traced the lad after Tuesday’s 11.30pm drama but the pair did not press charges.
Stephen, who forked out £10,000 for his motor, said: “Everyone deserves a second chance.”
