A VET cradled a frightened puppy and covered her in kisses as she was coming round from surgery.
Surgical assistant Dennis Moses was outside the operating theatre with puppy Meesha after she had been spayed when a volunteer captured the sweet moment on film.
Dennis is heard whispering to the whimpering puppy 'I know, I know' as he nuzzles in to her head.
"It's not too bad, puppy", he continues.
An employee at BARCS Animal Shelter posted the clip on the company's Facebook page and it has now been viewed by more than three million.
The charity wrote next to the clip: "BARCS Surgical Assistant Dennis Moses took her out into the quiet hallway to comfort her.
"One of our awesome volunteers just happened to be walking by to capture this sweet moment. Thank you to Dennis and all the staff who work long, tireless hours in the background of our shelter—saving lives and loving the animals."
Three days after Meesha had surgery she was adopted by a family.
